Vaccinations
Canine It protects your pet from a variety of different diseases – parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and two types of leptospirosis. We can vaccinate your dog from eight weeks of age. To build up initial immunity, two doses are required. Your dog will then need to have a booster vaccination each year to remain protected. Vaccination is not finished until at least 12 weeks. Finishing the vaccine early has lead to poor immunity in some cases and disease outbreaks. This is why we wait until 12 weeks
Feline The partial vaccination covers against two types of flu and enteritis. This would suit you if your cat will remain a house cat and not be mixing with others. The full vaccination covers against the two types of flu and enteritis like the partial but also has protection against leukaemia and Chlamydia. This is best if your cat goes outdoors and/or mixes with other cats. The vaccinations can be done from eight weeks of age. As with dogs, two doses are needed to build up the initial immunity. Then a booster is needed each year so protection is continuous.
Rabbits If you are unsure about vaccinating or have any questions, just ask us. We will be happy to help. We offer free veterinary advice regarding pet prevention care, pet exam options, and health product for pet questions. |
